Hi, I’m Lindsey

Hi, I’m Lindsey — artist, yoga teacher, designer, curious heart, and the founder of Little Spoonful.

Life, as we all know, is full of twists and turns. Mine has been no exception. But along the winding path, I’ve found that our greatest challenges often bring our most profound transformations. One quote I carry with me is from Rumi:
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
It’s through my own healing journey that Little Spoonful was born — a space for connection, nourishment, and those quiet little moments that change everything.

I’ve always been drawn to the mind-body connection. I grew up immersed in movement, playing every sport I could, eventually earning a full athletic scholarship to play Division 1 NCAA softball. At just 14, I worked with the Olympic Softball Pitching Coach, who casually mentioned his “secret weapon” — meditation. That tiny seed of wisdom stayed with me, and in hindsight, it planted the roots for everything that was to come.

After university, I trained as a plant-based chef, became an award-winning designer inspired by patterns in nature, and eventually found myself back on the mat — returning to yoga and meditation in a much deeper way. I’m now a certified yoga teacher, currently enrolled in a Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher Training program led by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield (graduating 2027).

But my greatest teachers have been life itself — and the sacred, sometimes painful, lessons it offers.

Years ago, when my brother suffered a life-threatening brain aneurysm while living in Japan, I left London to care for him. My earlier connection to Japanese culture and Buddhist philosophy helped me feel grounded through this intense time. Though he now requires full-time care in the U.S., his survival remains a powerful reminder of resilience and the love that binds us.

Not long after, I found myself at the London Samye Dzong Tibetan Buddhist Centre, seeking refuge and meaning following a series of personal losses. There, I deepened my study of the Dharma — teachings that would later carry me through a traumatic birth experience in 2022 that brought me close to death. In that hospital bed, I made a promise to myself: to no longer forsake what truly matters. I surrendered. I trusted. And from that surrender, I rose — clearer, softer, more devoted than ever to a life of service and presence.

I now live in the beautiful chaos of everyday life — as a mum to two young children, a wife, and a teacher committed to weaving practice into everyday life. My practice doesn’t live on mountaintops; it lives in the small, daily choices to return to breath, to nature, to community.

That’s why I created Little Spoonful — to share the little things that have made the biggest difference in my life. Here you’ll find yoga and mindful movement offerings, nourishing recipes, nature-inspired creativity, uplifting books and quotes, and guided practices that bring a sense of ease to daily life. Most importantly, you’ll find a growing community of kindred spirits. I believe that healing happens in connection — with others, with nature, and with our own inner truth.

The name I was given at my refuge ceremony is Karma Tsultrim Zangmo, which means “Excellent Moral Conduct.” It’s a name I strive to live into, a gentle reminder of the lineage of teachings I’ve received — and the many teachers I continue to learn from. You’ll find many of them listed on my Referrals page, as it’s important for me to honour those who’ve shaped this journey.

Credentials

I hold a BA in Textile Design through a transatlantic study abroad program between the University of Kansas and Central Saint Martins in London, where my love for pattern, form, and natural design truly blossomed. Later, I trained in plant-based cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu, London — a journey that deepened my connection to nourishment in all its forms.

I’m a certified yoga teacher through the 200hr Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training (Yoga Alliance Professionals), and a proud member of the British Wheel of Yoga. I also completed their 60-hour Foundation One course at The Self Centre in England. My path continues to unfold through my current studies in Mindfulness and Meditation with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. I continue to take other retreats and courses, many of which are listed on my referrals page.
